Quick and Easy Stirling Engine

Post by jimlarsen »

I recently built and tested a new can engine design. I was asked to design a can engine that can be built with simple tools in about 3 hours or less. This is what I came up with. I am in the process of writing up the instructions to go with it. Here is a link to the video:

I have written up the plans for the Quick and Easy Stirling Engine and made them available in printed form. This is a fun little project that can go together in less than 3 hours. This is a great project for the classroom as well as for people looking for an easy entry into pop can engines. The plans are currently available here: https://www.createspace.com/3680052

They will also be appearing at Amazon.com and at other retailers of technical books.
