Hi, I'm a new member, who is very interested in creating/building a Stirling engine to perform some real work on my farm. The most likely use is to drive a water pump. I have a large supply of firewood to create the heat input and have welding and other mechanical skills. I'd be very obliged if anyone can point me to design plans and other information that would enable me to build a working engine, possibly re-using an old Lister engine or any other engine.
Note, I live in Zimbabwe but am currently visiting the UK. If anyone knows of a Stirling engine, in the Lancashire/Yorkshire areas, that it might be possible to see working, then I'd be very interested in visiting to see it first hand.

Thankyou - I'll have a look

Thanks for the link - looks like the sort of power I could use. I may contact the company but it's really plans I'm after so I can build my own engine with locally sourced materials.
