New to Stirlings

Post by ljfw76 »

I am new to Stirling engines. I am working a design for a first try but was just wondering if anyone has ever used a diaphragm for a power cylinder? And if putting a gland seal on the displacer cylinder makes any improvement to its running or would add too much load for its worth?

I use a shaped diaphragm in my Stirling Engines. Here are a few videos. I think you can get a good view of the diaphragm in the second link.

Nothing wrong with a diaphragm piston, I used them in some of my engines.
