Computer Software Modelling of Stirling Engines

Post by fokker »

Hi everybody, I am 23 years old doing masters of engineering at university of Canterbury in New Zealand. I am building a new type of low temperature difference stirling engine and as part of the requirements I am supposed to model the engine in Sage software.

Has anybody here used this software before? What I am after specifically is a sage model for a LTD/pancake engine gamma configuration. I need an example of this to help create my own model. At the moment I am struggling to get useful results out of Sage as I am not very experienced at using it.

Thanks in advance/

Oh and for interests sake here is an animation of an early concept of the engine design:
