Ltd engine?

Post by Mr Scott »

Hello, I am posting my first question. I'm new here. I want to know if a 2 kw engine would be really large if it were ambient temperature difference and 3x atmosphere pressure? I would like to build a small boat using the difference between the air and water temperature and not need to make it to big or use expensive material. Mr Scott

Hi Mr Scott
The size of an LTD engine you are speaking of would be around 2 to 3 mtrs Diameter. Here is a link for you to have a look at. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSoXWt4hBpc It is Sunpulse Engine around 1.5kW at Tamera Village.

Yes you can. If you look under utube SunPulse they give you the plans basically for doing it. I would expect it to be costly, especially the heating of the oil and or water.
