Discussion on Stirling or "hot air" engines (all types)
1 post • Page 1 of 1
I have been hearing a lot of talk about variable displacement engines in the automotive industry and it made me start to think. Why couldn't the same idea be applied to Stirling engines? I understand that the amount of bearings would have to be increased but think about the Ross yoke, it has quite a lot of bearings and the geometry of the Ross yoke would need only slight modification to effectively alter the displacement. What are your thoughts?
