Airpel cylinders

Postby cbstirling2 » Fri Mar 24, 2017 8:12 pm

Off eBay, I got 2 airpel cylinders. How well will they work? I was hoping the tolerance would be better.

Has anyone actually build a running engine with these?

Those cylinders with their graphite pistons are ideal for a Stirling Engine. Have a look at ron parola's thread just down the page from here, titled "Well I'll be damned", there is a photo of his LTD motor that uses an Airpot cylinder. These cylinders can be incorporated in high temperature motors as well. Ian S C
