Re: Using Toy Stirling as a Heatsink on a lowish TDP CPU
Chance Jackson, I have the exact engine you link to in your post. (however i got it from china --> same engine but cheaper) When i let it run on hot water, and the water cools down it stops when the temperature difference is 20 degrees celsius. Assuming your room temperature is 20 degrees celsius, i...

Re: Thinking of purchasing mill/Lathe
Hi Lars, Cool that you want to purchase a lathe! I'm sure you can make really nice engines when you have it. I'm busy with my engineering course, and worked for the first time with a lathe last week. It is really fun! I had a look at the Proxxon, the quality seems to be really good. Here in the Neth...

Hi Hopper, That is nice, i like how they use the Stirling Engine in this application, when you read about it, it's a perfect solution. Where the engine orignially was developed i don't know, however, Kockums developed it further. What i know is that they first equipped a regular submarine with a sti...

Re: Stirling Engine driven vehicle
Hi Ian, Do you know something about for example the boats, how much power should I look for? From what I understand the ST-05 can deliver more power, I thought other companies have done that before. Also a multiple cylinder engine would be nice. If other people have idea's, i'd like to hear them. Ju...

Stirling Engine driven vehicle
Hi all, I've been thinking lately, and i have some plans to combine a stirling engine with a little vehicle. I'm interested in cars, and in stirling engines, so the combination between them has my interest. My plan would be to make a small vehicle, suitable for one person <80 kg. It doesn't have to ...

Re: 2-cylinder Gamma - project
Hi there! An update from about this engine! I Disassembled the engine, and i'm now completely rebuilding it. There are quite a few parts that will be remade, beginning with the crankshaft en top-plate. The new parts will be amazing, I got acces to a fully equipped metal workshop, and got some help f...

Hi Lars,
I'll see when you have any progress, i'm curious for the end-result.
I'm currently going to rebuild my 2 cylinder stirling engine almost comletely, because i can use way better tools now, you'll read in my topic.

wow Lars, thats really amazing. First ontopic: I really like what you build! You use al lot of skills. Are you probably in the plumbing business or so? All the solder and everything.. And wow, your snowmobile riding, that is just so cool! I live in the Netherlands, and we don't have much winter here...

Re: High powered Stirling going into production
Hi guys from Inresol, I'm very interested in your generator. I have just a few questions. We saw a video about testing a stirling engine, in another video i saw a photo of a test-engine. (Also, why that photo with the production line of that typical cheap gasoline generator?) Somewhere i even saw a ...

Hmmm, that sounds really interesting! I think it's more that i get motivated by you. You seem to have much time on your hands to build these things. I'm sorry i can't help you with the flywheel. Do you have a link where you get the peltier elements, or what sort it is? I think it is really possible ...

Ah, that's just the burner it thougt it would be. They sell them in the netherlands also, and they're relatively cheap.
Good luck with the build!

Re: Water pump build.tek elements
Hi Lars,
Interesting engine!
Do you have any more info about the parts you've used?
I see a fan runningand a sort of radiator? Is it just aluminum parts glued together?
And the water pump, is it right that you use an electric pump?
Keep building!
Regards,
Krijn

Re: Help Needed Building a Gamma Type Engine to Run a Model
Hi Rad,
Do you have further news about your engine?
I'd like to see a photo or hear about how it's going, is it already running?
I'm also a bit curious about your heat source, how's that going?
Regards,
Krijn
