Re: The TRUTH? η = 1 – (Qc / Qh) = 1 – (Tc / Th)

I find it odd that people accept a COP of 300 or 400 for a real heat pump, when the Carnot COP is 600 and 800. But have great revulsion to the same Carnot engine getting 16.67% or 12.5%, when a real engine gets 8.333% or 6.25%. It seems like a big incentive to cherry pick, or just plain deny simple ...

Re: Carnot was being too generous

It's funny how an "offer that can't be refused", leaves all those inventors, poor, discredited, often I'll, and followed by ever becoming more stubborn fools.

Only the well educated seems capable of seeing through their veil of lies, and self delusion.

Re: Entropy

Entropy IMHO is more easily thought of as uselessness of heat, and or dispersion. The same amount of heat at a lower temperature is more useless, higher entropy, lower pressure, larger volume. Able to do less work. Can't heat up your coffee, warm you in the winter, melt an ice cube. Temperature need...

Re: Entropy

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entropy Entropy is defined by calculus specifically a differential equation. The following is a line from Wikipedia: "So we can define a state function S called entropy, which satisfies 𝑑𝑆 = (𝛿𝑄rev)/𝑇 ." This when integrated on both sides becomes S=∆Q/T . Bu...

Re: Tesla's Ambient Heat Engine revisted

Nothing I've seen is more obviously faked than those garbage cooler unit videos. Nice try. There are scads of them too. The amazing thing is how many people those fraudulent videos seem to fool. Take a look at how uneven the coils develop frost and location of first frost. How little an amount "...

Entropy

Entropy. The thermodynamics definition boils down to: S = ∆Q/T Energy transfered, Joules, divided by Temperature, Kelvin. Both being real values therefore, Entropy S is a real concept and value, too. The following link does a fairly good job of introducing entropy. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DxL2...

Re: Tesla's Ambient Heat Engine revisted

Scientific studies have found 'belief' to be unreliable and has zero effect on experimental outcomes. Please don't take my word for that. Take meticulous data. Scientific/mathematical rigor is the only thing that will expose error. Even if a small amount of gas remains in the cold side of the engine...

Excellent. I wish you the best on that. Is it part of the, Martin Tajmar's group at the Dresden University of Technology? I heard rumors they are working on similar EM devices.

Re: Tesla's Ambient Heat Engine revisted

Here is another test. Fill a syringe with air. Place it in a vacuum. Measure the pressure by seeing how much weight it takes to depress it slightly. Cool it. See if it contracts. Measure again to see how much weight it takes to compress it the same small amount. Prediction: Nine tenths (9/10) (340 K...

Re: Tesla's Ambient Heat Engine revisted

Then you also can't prove contraction, since the experiment proves pressure. Contraction and pressure are opposites. If one exists, the other can't. There is always pressure, even the vacuum of space has a ever so slightly positive pressure. Putting ice in the oven does prove freezing. Ice melts whe...

Work is put back in. Gets converted to heat. Picks up some of the rejected to cold sink heat. Puts both out onto the hot source.

Re: Tesla's Ambient Heat Engine revisted

To prove gases contract. A plugged syringe at atmospheric pressure, temperature and half full must be put into an ice water bath. After the air cools and the atmosphere pushed, compresses, in the cold gas. Put the bath and syringe into a vacuum chamber and evacuate the air. It will need to stay cont...
