Hi Ian I am thinking about making displacer out of SS tube. My power cylinder is of aluminium. I will braze a SS tube on it to make displacer cylinder. Power piston is of teflon rod. I have used teflon on one of my gamma engine. It works OK. only you have to make it slightly more undersize. It will ...

Hi i am trying to work out dimensions for my beta stirling engine. I have an aluminium cylinder of 40mm dia. I am thinking to fix a 1 1/2 inch SS tube to make displacer cylinder. Hi i was going thru the topics and there was lot of discussion about end plate design. to use fins or not etc. I have an idea in my mind that I want to share.
