I get mine from R. R. Fisher ltd in Christchurch NZ, a metre or so isn't very costly, and I don't think the postage would be too much.

It looks as though your motor might need a bit of work to get it up and running, if you don't have it , you might have to make a second flywheel for it, you could make up one from steel, it doesn't have to be cast iron.

I mainly use 3 mm round heat fused plastic belt, but I have used rubber bands, and O-Rings, with the O-Rings I have cut them and rejoined them with super glue. Another type of belt is the small square section belts used in some tape recorders etc.

What do you want? A Honda Step Through? Most of this part of the museum is for motor bikes, none with hot air engines, one is a diesel. These little motors were used for pumping water, mainly in rural locations where there was no electricity connection.

evildrome, can't tell you anything about your motor, but a friend has one similar that was made under licence in New Zealand.

The resting pressure of a pressurized engine is equal either side of the piston, hense the port no 52. I think the thing labelled 38 looks more like a pump, and if the engine used air this would make sense.

Not sure, but I think that the wobble plate is more efficient than the swash plate in these engines.

At first I made hot caps from solid stainless steel, bored out in a cup shape, the displacers were made in a similar way but from mild steel. Newer motors have the hot cap made of thin walled stainless steel tube (0.010"/0.25 mm or less), with the end TIG welded in place, and a mild steel flang...

That's excellent speed, just needs a bit of engineering to redesign the hot end. If you haven't broken something, you are not really trying hard enough, the hot end probably needs to be brazed into the flange, what is the hot cap made of?

The Whispergen has a 4 cylinder engine of this type with their own patented Z drive to the alternator, On talking to Dr Don Clucus(the designer/builder), he reckoned it was the most efficient, and compact design he could come up with.
